KAWA – Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Uganda

Early childhood education (ECE) is the critical foundation for a child’s future academic and social development. However, despite its importance, ECE in Uganda faces numerous challenges, including a lack of government funding, a shortage of trained teachers, and limited access in rural areas. This results in many children missing out on a quality start to their education.

KAWA believes in a holistic approach to ECE, emphasizing play-based learning, inclusive classrooms, continuous assessment, and strong parental involvement. We are dedicated to overcoming these hurdles by providing resources, training, and support to create a brighter future for every young learner.

KAWA’s team of Education Quality Specialists is working in collaboration with Edify Uganda to improve the quality of ECD teachers through technology in schools.
