Shares Account

Shares give you ownership in JMT Sacco and it is mandatory that each member should have at least one share and a minimum of 30 shares.

Members can purchase shares anytime by depositing money in the bank and indicating the number of shares they want to buy. Presently the price of the share is UGX 20,000.

The Benefits Include:

The benefits of the shares account include the dividends earned at the end of the financial year as and when determined at the Annual General Meeting.

A member's shares can also act as security for the loan.

A member can purchase shares at any time.

Pensions account

Everyone needs to plan ahead for retirement. People are living longer and have healthier lives. It is more important to consider your retirement income today than ever before.  A few of us understand the real facts about pensions.

The JMT Pension Account is a long-term investment designed to provide an income in retirement. You choose how much to contribute to your individual pension account.

In addition to NSSF (National security Fund) money or work-based provident funds/gratuity schemes, this account is for members who would like to put aside some of their savings specifically for future use.

The member's pension savings can only be accessed when they are over 50 years old. For members aged 50 years and above, you can make contributions for a minimum of 5 years.

The savings on this account earns an interest of 11% PA, and it compounds itself annually until maturity of the money on the account.

Investing in a pension account can form an important part of your planning for retirement and the benefit with our pension account is that we accept regular contributions, single contributions and payments from mobile money and members' bank accounts through direct debits and other bank transfers.

The Benefits Include:

  • Helps members save up for their retirement

  • The member's savings grow with an interest of 11% PA.

  • There are Unrestricted free deposits

  • There are no account maintenance or monthly charges

Children's Account

Children are an important part of our lives and here at JMT Sacco, we understand that securing your child’s future is important to you. JMT designed a children’s account to help your children save for the future while inculcating in them the culture of saving.

The child or parent can save any amount of money on their children's Account. The account earns an interest of 12% PA compounding itself and the child can access the money on this account only when they are over 18 years.

The following should be noted when opening the account;

  • The Parent/guardian will be required to complete and sign a children’s account opening form.
  • A passport size photo for the child will be required while completing the form.
  • The account will be in the child’s name with the parent(s) or guardian as trustee(s).
  • Only children below 18 years are eligible to have the JMT children's Account.

The Benefits Include:

  • The Children's Account helps inculcate a saving culture within the children
  • It enables a Parent directly save for their children's future
  • Savings grow with an interest of 12% PA.
  • There are no monthly account maintenance charges on the Children's Account.
  • There are Unrestricted free deposits.
  • There are Free statements.
  • The member can open an account for each of your children.

School Fees Account

Are you one of those parents or guardians who has always dreaded that time of the year when you have to pay school fees? The JMT SACCO School fees Account is a solution designed to make back-to-school times enjoyable.

The JMT SACCO School fees Account grants you an opportunity to let your children's present and future dreams come alive.

This account is for members who would like to put aside some of their savings specifically for educational purposes for themselves or their dependents.

Categories of School Fees Product

Short Term School fees Account:

This account is always on-going and withdrawals can be made whenever there is a need for school fees. This account makes termly school fees payments stress free.

The Short Term School fees Account earns an interest of 7% PA compounding interest.

Medium Term School fees Account:

The withdrawals on this account can only be made after saving on the account for a minimum of 5 years. This account also favors the parent who would like to start saving for their children while they are still infants.

The Medium Term School fees Account earns an interest of 8% PA, the interest compounding interest.

 

Long Term School fees Account:

The withdrawals on this account can only be made after opening the account for a minimum of 15 years. This account helps a parent save up for their children's tertiary education.

The long Term School fees Account earns an interest of 12% PA on compounding interest.

Eligibility
  • All JMT account holders qualify to open the school fees accounts.
  • The account is opened under the parent's name.
  • A member can open the account for one or many children or for the member themselves.

  • it’s Affordable.

  • No account maintenance or monthly charges.

  • Saves the hustle of queuing up in the banks.

  • Encourages disciplined savings towards school fees.

At JMT SACCO we understand that you have dreams and ambitions about improving the quality of your life. We know that you would for example like to buy new furniture or buy a plot of land, fund opportunities or emergencies.

You may also be planning to study for your Masters or parallel degree or any other grand dream you may have. All these dreams need financing to become a reality.

That’s why JMT offers you a Loan account to enable you to fulfill your dreams and live your life to the full.

Categories of Loan Account

Agriculture loan

This Loan product is offered to JMT members who need to boost their farms or to fund agriculture projects. It's designed to finance business activities in agricultural production, processing, marketing and acquire new machinery.

Business Loan

This Loan product is offered to Y-Save members who need to boost their businesses. It's aimed at financing business growth and facilitates business performance for both small and medium Businesses. The member must present business documentation to support loan application.

Contract financing Loan

This Loan product is offered to JMT members who need to fund business contracts.  It enables the member to receive a cash advance on work they are yet to perform. The member must present a contract when applying for this loan and must pay up within a period of six (6) Months.

Personal Loan

This Loan product is offered to JMT members for personal financial emergences. The product offers members an opportunity to improve on their lifestyle, meet their medical needs and accomplish their educational goals leading to Personal Development.

Property Loan

This Loan product is offered to JMT members to acquire property. It's designed to enable the members buy land, own a home, do construction or buy machinery. The product aims at improving the member's welfare.

Features

We offer loans to only account holders

Our loans have a reasonable interest rate which is 25% Per Annum calculated on a reducing balance basis

The amount disbursed to a member is 80% of the security they have

Security for the loans is tagged to the member’s savings, shares or guarantor-ship by other member’s savings or shares

Member’s assets for example Land titles can also be used as security for the loans

Target Account

We all have Dreams and Goals we desire to achieve. Some of the Dreams will need financial backing to come alive.
We understand the need to make savings towards achieving a certain Goal, Say; Building your dream Home, Buying your dream car, purchasing a plot of land, Getting married, starting a business, upgrading your smartphone and many more. The JMT Target Account is designed to meet this need.
This account works like a fixed deposit account. It helps members put aside money for a specific period; this can be short, medium and long term. Should someone withdraw money from his account before the stipulated period, then a member would forfeit all the interest that this account would have accumulated.
Categories of Target Account
Short Term Target: A member can open this Account for a minimum period of 3 months and a maximum period of 1 year. This account earns an interest of 11.5% PA. Upon withdrawal, a member can renew the Account for a specified period.
Medium-Term Target: A member can open this Account for a minimum period of 13 months and a maximum period of 5 years. This account earns an interest of 18% PA and the interest compounding itself annually until the expiry period. Upon withdrawal, a member can renew the Account for a specified period. 
Long Term Target: A member can open this Account for a minimum period over 5 years to an indefinite maximum period depending on how long one would like to have money on this account. This account earns an interest of 21.5% PA and the interest compounding itself annually until the expiry period.
 The Benefits Include:
  • The target account helps members save up towards short and long term goals.
  • The target account enables a member save up for emergencies using the target short account.
  • Members' savings grow with an interest of 10.5% to 25% PA
  • There are Unrestricted free deposits
  • No minimum deposit amount.

Top Schools in Kiboga District 2020 UCE Results

 

In Kiboga District UCE 2020 Examinations Results, Saviour High School, Kiboga emerged the top secondary school with 29.14% pass rate from 151 candidates who sat the exams. The second place with 29.14% pass rate is Kiboga Progressive SS.

Uganda Martyrs High School, Kiboga took position 3 to seal the top three best schools in Kiboga district in the just concluded 2020 Uganda Certificate of Education UCE exams.
