  • Events surrounding Jesus's birth and crucifixion/Pillars of Islam and surah Al-Bayyinah.
  • The story of Adam and Eve/Haawa and their sons.
  • Reasons for humbling oneself during prayer.
  • Voluntary services in church/mosque.
  • Ways to avoid temptations.
  • Items to give to the needy.

The paper concludes with a message: "#Stay home, keep washing your hands."

NAMAGUNGA PRIMARY BOARDING SCHOOL SST-P.-5-REVISION-APRIL-2020
This document is a Primary Five Social Studies with Religious Education examination paper from Namagunga Primary Boarding School, dated April 2020.

The paper is divided into two sections:

Tawhiid (Oneness of Allah):
Events after death but before resurrection (Barzakh, questions in the grave).
Events that will take place on the Day of Judgment (signs before the Last Day, importance of resurrection).
Importance of the Day of Judgment.
Description of Paradise (Jannah), including who enters and what is found there.
People assured of Paradise and reasons why.
Description of Hell (Jahannam), including its guardians, what people in Hell feed on, and prophetic traditions about it.
Sin:
Hadith prohibiting alcohol, listing those cursed for dealing with it.
Prohibiting sex before marriage, citing Quran 24:2.
Sexual abuse, defining various forms like homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, incest, prostitution, rape, and defilement, and condemning them with a Quranic verse (7:81).
Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence):
Fasting: Reasons for fasting, groups of people who should fast, people exempted from fasting, and things that spoil fasting.
Ramadhan: Good things done during Ramadhan and important events that took place during the month (e.g., revelation of the Quran, Battle of Badr).
Tarawiih Prayer: Description, demonstration, and importance (rewards, forgiveness, unity).
Idd Al-Fitri: Description of the celebration marking the end of Ramadhan, including practices and sayings.
Idd Adhuha: Description of the celebration of sacrifice, including practices and its commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim.
Importance of Idd prayers: Benefits like unity, solving problems, socializing, pleasing Allah, and forgiveness.
Hadith:
Settlement of Debts: Hadith about the signs of a hypocrite (lying, breaking promises, betraying trust), its importance, and lessons learned.
Neighborliness: Hadith on good neighborliness, emphasizing not harming neighbors and its implications for believers.
History of Islam:
Prophet Muhammad at Madinah: His achievements as a leader (constructing a mosque, uniting people, stopping wars, introducing a constitution, fighting injustice) and challenges faced.
Recommended works of Prophet Muhammad as a messenger: Stopping idol worship, infanticide, alcohol, slave trade, gambling; uplifting women; reducing adultery/fornication; creating unity; and spreading Islam.
Qualities of Prophet Muhammad: Simple life, cleanliness, love for friends, generosity, feeding the hungry, love for animals, polite language, humility, honesty, trustworthiness, seeking knowledge, patience, and spending time with family.
Lessons learned from Prophet's life: Encouraging a simple life, cleanliness, and loving friends.
Reading from the Qur'an:
Surat Al-Kauthar: Recitation, writing in Arabic and transliterated form, meaning (promise of Al-Kauthar in Paradise), lessons learned, and relating it to daily life.
Surat Al-Alaq: Recitation, writing in Arabic and transliterated form, meaning (first revelation, importance of reading), lessons learned, and relating it to daily life (hardships in seeking knowledge).
Zakat (Charity):
Items on which Zakat is paid (cash, domestic animals, minerals, articles of trade, agricultural products).
Conditions for paying Zakat (giver must be free, have what to give, be Muslim, paid annually/after harvest).
Importance of Zakat (reduces suffering, purifies heart/wealth, protects from punishment, brings rewards, strengthens relationships, removes envy/jealousy, brings happiness/brotherhood).
The document is designed with learning competences, resources, keywords, introductions, Allah's messages, and follow-up activities (exercises and practical activities) for each lesson.
